What you’ll learn of the 8+ hour Story Telling Workshop:
HOW TO CREATE THE BASIC CORE OF A STORY:
BAREBONES: What is the core of the story–the absolute essential bits from the beginning, middle and end?
MAP: Where is this story happening? How to map story in your head and bring the listener through the locations
SPEED: How to use, tempos and rhythm for maximum impact
WAYS TO TELL A STORY:
5 WAYS OF BEING: Different ways to be during telling of story and how to use mix them in the story to have greatest effect on the listener.
GESTURES: Use of movement / timing of movement. (exercise: movement plus words)
HOW TO MAKE YOUR STORY MORE INTERESTING:
THRESHOLDS: How to identify key points in your story to changing energy at key events and points in the story to create greater connection with the listener.
IMAGINATION: Get them to lie, while not needed to lie in story it is a good tool for hyperbole / exaggeration… the guy was bigger than KING KONG she was more beautiful than a big mac to a Somalian, etc….
POLARITIES: Contrasts, create visual images which stimulate mind.
TEMPERAMENTS: Understand different peoples appreciation capabilities (cholerics vs. sanguines vs. phlegmatics vs. meloncholics)
PUNCHLINES:
CREATING HUMOUR: what is humour / how can it be used?
COMEDY TOOLS: rule of 3, tags, callbacks, use of tension.
PEAK POINTS: resolution of polarities.
EMOTIONAL PUNCH LINES: leave the audience with an emotional hit
At the end of the course you’ll walk away with 5 well crafted stories that make up part of your “Hero Story” to use next time you are out with a girl that achieve specific outcomes that progress the relationship forward.
